Bio-treatment capabilities of powdered <i>Moringa oleifera</i> seeds and a consortium of some bacterial isolates in cassava mill effluent (CME)

Access to portable water supply is a serious challenge worldwide. Therefore, the development of sustainable, environmentally friendly wastewater management and recycling methods have become essential. This study evaluated ability powdered Moringa oleifera seeds consortium Bacillus Pseudomonas species treat cassava mill effluent (CME) by monitoring physicochemical parameters using standard methods. The bacterial counts revealed total coliform viable 5±0.17 x 105 cfu/ml 4.8±0.32 respectively. At end 7-day bio-treatment seeds, turbidity reduced 79.45%. organic carbon had reduction 92.99% while gave 69.17%; biochemical oxygen demand 99.30% was 72.41%. Chemical 94.25% isolates 83.34%. pH reported within acidic range, temperature slightly decreased with increasing days bio-treatment. Biodegradation indices showed strong positive correlation between BOD COD in both CME treatments. reports efficacy treatment effluent.
